Hello,

When the refrigerator side is getting too cold this is because the control of the compressor has gone bad in some way...

There a few different things that could cause the unit to lose control over the temperature of the fridge side.

If your refrigerator has a damper door that opens and closes to allow cold air to move to the fridge side the damper linkage or the damper motor may have broken or gone bad.

The coils in your fridge may have frozen over and now the air does not move at all so then the ice builds up and can freeze parts of the fridge side.

The thermostat has gone bad and so now the compressor runs continually. This will not be noticed readily on the freezer side but will show up quickly on the fridge side.

Many newer model refrigerators use an electronic sensor or thermistor to read the temperature and supply the info for the circuit board and often a digital readout.

So, here is how I would go about troubleshooting this problem.

Check the coils for ice, defrost the coils with a heat gun or hairdryer, then check for the reason why they iced over. Defrost control or defrost timer bad? Evaporator fan bad?

Check the damper door to see if it is stuck in the open position. If it is then check the motor and the linkage.

Check to see if the refrigeration unit will shut down if the thermostat or digital setting is turned up to a higher temperature. If it continues to run then find the cause and fix it. It may be a bad thermostat, sensor, or control board.

Sometimes with a change is weather to a cooler climate this will be enough to also affect the inside temperatures. Make sure that a bit of adjustment in the thermostat or setting of the temperature will not solve your problem very simply.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Where is the fuse box located on mishto 165 litre 12 volt fridge

The Mishto 165 litre 12 volt fridge may not have a fuse box. However, there may be a fuse located on the power cord or near the power source for the fridge. If you cannot locate the fuse, it is recommended to refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Hi, I have a LG fridge LX72LBEG. 1PH-220-240v PUJC 2520050040575. Fridge &freezer combo does not cool on both sides.checked the fan is working, compressor (R134a) just gets hot

Hello
Since you did not make a complete thaw in the freezer?
Do this and then cleanly, let it dry inside, then turn it on, cause it can be an ice plug in the freezer coils

Fridge Freezer is blowing warm air. Compressor is hot to touch.

Make sure that the cooling coils are not frozen solid with ice, but as the other guy said, probably needs Freon

Cubic feet of my fridge and freezer model #ED5CHQXVQ00

The model number usually depicts what size fridge it is. ED 5 ?? That would suggest 5 cubic feet. ?? In Australia, fridges are measured in litre size. IE/ a fridge with say a model of HE550 would suggest 550 litres ( a reasonably big fridge)

Wattage use

Your calculations is correct - 220 X 0.7 = 154 watts.
If your fridge only runs on 220 volts then you need solar panels that charge 12 volt lead acid batteries and then use a inverter to convert 12 volts DC to 220 volts AC.

It is a top freezer (double door) brand new (one month) WHIRLPOOL 410 litres refrigerator. Both the compartments are not cooling anymore. What can be the reasons? I hope it is not the refrigerant leakage...

Its possible that its refrigerant leak issue.Because both sections not cooling, this indicates low refrigerant problem.Because when refrigerant gets low the compressor gets weak and cause no or low cooling in both fridge and freezer section. The other possibility can be any of the fridge or freezer door not getting closed properly, if this is the case then it will let warm air inside and this never lets the refrigerator to get properly cool. ------- Click this link for more help and further troubleshooting:--

My Vintagekeeper Tuscany 220 wine fridge is making lots of unnecessary noise.

Hello, this is a common problem when parts start to wear in the motor. They rattle and clang allover the place, depending on age of fridge you can get the motor replaced and regassed. Or depending on age it may be time to replace the fridge. I hope this is of some use.
