My Akia LCD tv won't turn on. Had problems before

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!

Sounds like an issue with the Tconn board.

TRY THIS

1. • 1 Turn the TV off with the front-mounted power button, not the remote. Unplug the TV's power cord from the wall outlet. Let an hour pass before plugging the cord back into the wall outlet. Turn the TV back on with the front-mounted power button and wait until it has fully restarted. Bring up a TV channel to see if the image being presented on the LCD screen is no longer flickering. A momentary power surge can cause the circuitry inside the LG-brand LCD TV to function erratically.
     
   • 2 Unplug the video cable from the video connection on the back or side panel of the LG TV. If more than one video cable is connected to the TV, disconnect all of them. Disconnect the other end of the video cable from the video source device that it's attached to -- a DVD or Blu-ray player, or a satellite receiver or cable box. Blow off the connections on the video source device and on the back or side panel of the TV with bursts of compressed air. Reinsert one end of the video cable into the video source device and the other end into the video input that it was connected to. Turn the TV back on with is remote to see if the picture is now free of flickering. A loose or partially connected video cable can cause the LCD TV's screen to flicker when presenting an image.
     
   • 3 Turn the TV off and unplug its power cord from the wall outlet. Place a power conditioner next to the wall outlet. Plug the power conditioner's power cord into the wall outlet. Plug the TV's power cord into one of the AC sockets on the power conditioner. Turn the power conditioner on. Turn the TV on to see if the picture is now free of flickering. The RF signals in the electric line that the LG TV is drawing power from can cause flicking through interference patterns being generated.
     

The problem is in the power supply board, bad solder joints, or one or two failing capacitors, common issues.

First move: unplug your broadcast provider's box, wait for a minute, then plug it back into power source. I mean: leave all the connections intact, just unplug from power source. It might be just power cord or power adapter. If that's not the case, please do the same with TV. Unplug it from wall outlet, wait a minute, plug it back in. It's a next step, if your "box" won't take care of the problem. If that won't take care of the issue, refer to owner's manual for "reset" procedure. Worst case scenario: you might need to replace main board inside or your TV.

In about 95% of the time when the TV is having a hard time turning ON or turns OFF by itself or needs to be unplug to make it work again; those are symptoms of dying or defective power supplies.

I WILL NOT BY AKIA TVS no more thay **** cant get parts

it will cost around 400 to fix. its the power supply. it happened to every akia like this and astar 26 lcd. just a crappy tv. i would have to say they all lasted about 1 year when this started. i sold these tv s for a while at my work.
