Newer iPods are unable to sync properly with any program other than iTunes. You will have to use iTunes in order to sync songs.

Hi Annebeth9, had the same problem with an ipod nano 5th gen.. After reseting the ipod with itunes (sorry i am from germany, in german its "wiederherstellen" in the version wndow beneath the "search for updates" button) everything worked fine again. These little electronic devices steal more of your time than you like, i am thinking of switching back to vinyl. Helmut from Berlin

i formated my Apple iPod accidentally . Now its functioning like a mass storage device. It does't play songs (by itself), but it plays through Autorun when I connect it to the Computer...
