I have a psc 1410 series that won't work on windows vista.

Try this first!

Try turning off Windows Defender or whatever AV software you are running. After I turned Defender off the installation completed with no problems and it now prints!!

-Open windows update
-Check for updates
-View optional updates
- There will be a small update for the psc 1410 series, install that and all functionality will be built in to the windows printer center"

You MUST obtain the VISTA version of that CD (if it isnt a vista driver CD) or you may go to the HP website and download a VISTA driver from there

You need to download and install the drivers for your new OS on each of the computers in your organisation. The link is found here - just click on the download only and then install.
