What format is the drive

In the Microsoft Windows operating system, you can copy and paste 5 GB files as long as you have enough disk drive space. The disk drive to which you're pasting the file must be formatted using the New Technology File System (NTFS), which supports the copying and pasting of very large files.

Purchase a large capacity USB external hard disk drive from a reputable vendor. Make sure that the hard disk drive is at least 100 GB. Connect the external hard disk drive to a spare USB port in your computer. Wait for the Windows operating system to recognize the hard disk drive. Double-click on the "Computer" icon on the Windows Desktop, after which a window will appear listing all of your disk drives. Establish the letter of the new hard disk drive you have just installed. For the purpose of this article, the drive letter is assumed to be "E." Right-click on drive "E," click on "Format," change the file system to "NTFS," then click on the "Start" button. Wait for the process to complete. Click on the 5 GB+ file to select it, then press "Ctrl" + "C" on your keyboard to copy the file to the Windows Clipboard. Click on the "Computer" icon on the Windows Desktop, then double-click on the "E" drive. This will open the root folder of the hard disk drive in the same window. Press "Ctrl" + "V" on your keyboard to paste the 5 GB+ file from the Windows Clipboard to the new hard disk drive. Wait for the process to complete, which will take several minutes.

Fast File Saw & Joiner does exactly that, and puts the pieces back together, too.

Is the drive not seen on any computer or laptop you have tried it in? If it works on other computers / laptops then the issue is with your laptop. If it fails to be recognised on other computers, then there is a chance it has failed.
Also, if you are using any emulation / copy software such as Alcohol or Daemon tools, there is a file called sptd.sys, which can cause this issue. Before advising that you delete or remove this, can you try the usb drive in another computer and indicate which version of windows you are using?

My Kingston DataTraveler G3 8GB USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive (White/Yellow)'s data all got corrupted, and i a cannot do anything [copying, pasting, renaming, moving, etc.] with the corrupted files/data

Get data back is a file recovery program for flash drives, it may work for this, but if the files are corrupt you would then be recovering corrupt files.

Flash drive file system unknown and unformatable

Sounds like the partition table is screwed up. I've tried simulating it as best I could. I created a 25 MB drive in this video and edited the partition table to show only 2 KB. Formatting only allows me to format the 2KB in your case it would be 0KB and formatting won't do anything. Try the steps in the video.

Files copied onto kingston dt1/16gb usb get garbled.

Many people don't realize this, but flash memory wearsout the more you delete and write files to it. How quickly it wears out willdepend on the specific flash drive. Like anything, there is a wide range ofquality in currently available flash memory-based drives. You can make a roughcorrelation with the cost/quality of the device (what you pay is what you get),but even that tends to change over time. Depending on usage and quality itcould be talking as short as months or as long as several years. In extremecases of misuse it could lasting as little as a few weeks.

My Kingston usb flashdrive 16 Gb files was corrupted and so with the installer. Everytime when I insert it shows unknown driver and it's not working. Can you provide us the the installer with this...

You do not need drivers for flash drives. The problem may be your USB ports.

Follow the steps given below to refresh USB ports.

1. Right-click My Computer icon on the desktop, and then select Properties.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager button.
4. Click the plus (+) sign to the left of Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5. Right-click the device listed under Universal Serial Bus controller and select Uninstall.
6. Click OK to confirm the removal of the device.

Please note, repeat Steps 5 and 6 until all the devices under Universal Serial Bus Controller are removed.

7. Shut down the computer.

CAUTION: Ensure that the Shut Down option is selected, instead of the Restart option.

8. Wait for 5 seconds and then restart the computer. When the computer restarts, a "Windows has detected new or added hardware" message window will open.

The above steps will refresh the USB ports.

Now connect the USB devices like mouse, video camera, your external usb hard disk...usb hubs...whatever you like and the drivers should install automatically.

Tip: It is always recommended to connect the main usb devices at the rear end usb port, as they require more power to initiate.

If it turns out that the files are indeed corrupted, there are several free recovery programs you can try.

Please can you send me detailed instructions on how to use a kingston usb memory stick

The memory stick becomes another drive, when plugged into the USB port. Some sticks have a write protect, which is a teeny tiny switch. If the switch is in the protect position, you can read but not write any data to the drive. Often the drive will be listed after all of your camera card ports.
To view the drive press and hold the Windows key and press the letter E. and then release both. The available drives should show up there.

when its loaded into the memory card slot or however you have it attached to your computer right click on the assigned driver letter --> properties --> tools --> scan disk or check disk and see if it comes up with any issues

Also if this is a new memory card get a replacement that or if its too old then buy a new one
