SOURCE: Katana II on Embarq network want to use it on Sprint. Help Unlock Please

Most likely, you will have to purchase an unlock code from another website that is specific to your phone. There is no guarantee though that there is a code for it. You will also need a valid Sprint SIM Card. Please be aware though, if you do manage to unlock your phone, not all of the features may work. Features that are specific to the Embraq network will not work after the unlock. And you will not gain features specific to Sprint due to it not being an original Sprint phone. As long as you are ok with that then go for it. Look for the best price though. They vary from website to website.

SOURCE: will my phone work

Above is incorrect. Boost uses two different networks each is different technology. The one using SIM cards is the IDEN network (Nextel). The other is Sprint (who owns Boost) and that does not take a SIM, it's a CDMA network. All Sprint phones can work on this network, but you must get Boost to activate the phone. They won't do this unless you are already a customer and tell them you are replacing a broken phone, then give the Sprint phone ESN# (under battery) for them to log in your account. If you have a Sprint LG Rumor it will then work without unlocking or flashing, no changes necessary.

How do I flash my phone from Verizon to Boost Mobile?

Boost/Sprint only allows certain devices on their network. You can't simply flash your phone and activate it because your Verizon Serial number won't be in Sprint/Boost's database.

My daughter forgot her pass number on her Samsung SPH-M920 Sprint phone. We cannot unlock it for her, what can we do?

all you can do is to bring the device to th shop where she bought it and reformat it. formatting the device will erased all the changes you made in your device but not the contacts..it will also change the unlock code of this device..in simple words, formatting will restore all factory settings.

Hi. I have an htc touch pro2 sprint it has no data connectionand phone calls work on and off. I need the correct data settings for unlocked Sprint htc touch pro2 unlocked for Boost Mobile! Can you please...

Why don't you ask Boost, then? Those settings are not device-dependent. As soon as you have them, input them via settings->connections. All you should need it
a) the APN of the connection (a name)
b) whether they require the use of a proxy
b1) if yes, the IP address and the port of it
c) whether they require authentication (that's usually not the case)
c1) if yes, your username and password

That should be all.

CAN I USE MY SPRINT BLACKBERRY CURVE 8330 WITH BOOST MOBILE

Possibly since Boost & Sprint are CDMA carriers (AT&T & T-Mobile are GSM carriers), but it may need to be reprogrammed by Boost in order to work. Most times, you need to hack into the phone to unlock it.

I want to unlock my sprint/nextel ic902 phone so my boost mobile simcard will work in it?

>Expert
>>Motorola Phones
>>>Boost Mobile

I activate phones for Boost Mobile.

I'm sorry to tell you, but an ic902 can never be unlocked to work properly on any other system - to include the Boost system. Here's why. The ic902 is a hybrid phone. That is, it uses two different cellular systems to operate. Specifically, voice calls on the ic902 are placed over the Sprint CDMA network and Push-to-Talk (PTT) calls are transmitted over Nextel's iDEN network.

Boost Mobile calling (both, voice and PTT) uses the iDEN network from Nextel. Thus, the ic902's radio transmitter (which is CDMA) cannot make calls on the Boost ( iDEN ) system.

Moreover, if you plan to use Boost Mobile, I STRONGLY suggest that you NOT purchase a Nextel phone and have it unlocked to use for Boost.

Although Nextel and Boost phones seem the same - they are not. If you look at the model number of Nextel phones most of them end in a zero. (ie., i850, i870 etc.) where Boost Mobile Phones end with the number five. (ie., i855, i875, etc.) This is because the transmitters in the phones are set to different frequencies for different purposes (like for texting.)

If you go to eBay for example, those who sell unlocked Nextel phones to use for Boost (if they're honest) will inform potential buyers in their eBay listings that their unlocked Nextel phone will not (text, for example) on the Boost network. These unlocked Nextel phones will have limitations when used on Boost.

To prevent problems down the road, ALWAYS purchase a Boost phone to use on the Boost network.

If this information has been helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer.
