Whirlpool imperial series 6 cycle/3 temp electric dryer wont heat

Dryer wont heat up...initially i think the problem was that it wasnt stopping during the cool down phase, meaning, unless i physically opened the door or shut it off, it would keep running. Now it is not heating up at all!

Whirlpool imperial series dryer heats not spinning

This problem is almost always a broken belt. Yes you can do it yourself.
Go to repairclinic. com and put in your model number for the exploded view of your dryer. Locate the belt part number and belt orientation.

My Whirlpool Imperial Series WGD5550SQ0 has low heat, does not start the way it used to. My wife has to alter the settings to make it work. What could be the problem?

The 'operating thermostat' is not working correctly. It should allow heating up to about 155 degrees F and then open for a short period and then re-close. This is the cycle during drying.

Drier was working O.k . Timmer Stop working And so did the Heating. Does the Timmer control Temperature aswell.?

Yes, if the timer mech is damaged and, it will not rotate, this is cause the heating cycle to become inoperable. the time is responsible for initiating the heating command and the thermostat helps with the temp regulations. replacing the timer will restore the normal functions of your dryer.

It wont stop running... dries perfectly but wont stop. Thanks! ;o)

either a timer or the heating element or a blocked vent also there is a resister on some kenmore/whirlpool dryers and if it is out it wont advance in the auto cycles. It should advance in the timed cycle with or without heat
