F1 code on my Oven

HELP! I was broiling and when I was done, I got the F1 code. We've turned off the circuit breaker, let it rest overnight and then rehooked it up. We then turned on the ovens (which worked) but still got the F1 Code. Any ideas of what that could be? We'd rather take care of it ourselves, if possible.

Same problem as Chate's F1 error. F1 error code comes on when oven is cooling. Cycled power, but still keeps on flashing F1 (and beeping) every 15-20 seconds after pressing any button. Allowed to cool for several hours, then Self-Cleaned oven, still getting F1 when oven cools.

GE JKP26 Double Oven. The broiler trips circuit breaker.

Question edited for clarity.

One of Broil elements have failed. Often you can visually see the damage, or you can test with a multimeter with the power turned off. Try for continuity. The failed one will be shorting to earth. The other possibility is that an end contact has melted through and is touching the case.

The ove has a code of F1 and the light is on for LOCK. How do I correct the code and unlock?

Hello, Pamela -

I can only think you do not have the owner's manual for your oven. The F1 error code and what it means will be listed in the oven owner's manual in the Troubleshooting section.

If you wish, you can add the make and model of your oven by choosing Comment and typing that information in the Comment box, so I or someone else volunteering to answer on Fixya.com can provide information for just your make and model of stove.

One thing you can try now, if it is an electric oven, is to turn all the power off to the oven by switching the oven circuit breaker off, waiting one full minute, and switching the circuit breaker back on. That may reset the oven and eliminate the F1 error and unlock the oven door.

Best wishes.

F1 alarm started last night. Turned off circuit breaker overnight, tried today and still continues to alarm. Repairman wants $76 dollars to walk in the door. Please help

Hi.

The error meaning depends on the oven brand.

On Amana and other brands F1 is a faulty control pad or faulty electronic control.
That may be your case , since the electronic control looks being jammed.

Try tripping the circuit breaker for two minutes (or disconnect power cord). If that does not help, then call the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual.

Note: on other brands F1 indicates incorrect temperature , and is associated with a faulty temperature sensor. This normally does not cause the electronic control beeping and not responding.

Can you tell me what an F1 error Message means - 30 minutes into baking, I got beeping and an F1 error message. Canceling did not turn the oven off and the only thing I could do is turn it off at the...

Hi,

"F1" code clearly indicates that main control board has failed. The possible fix for this kind of problem is you have to replace the faulty circuit board. This is the only solution and you cant repair anything else in this unit when F1 flashes.
Thank you !!

Whirlpool Oven Model RF365PXGN getting a error of F1 and E2

HELLO, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIND YOUR CIRCUIT BREAKER BOX AND LOOK IN IT FOR THE BUTTON THAT SAYS KITCHEN. TURN THE KITCHEN POWER OFF FOR 30 MINUTES THEN TURN IT BACK ON. ONCE YOU TURN IT BACK ON THE OVEN SHOULD RESET ITS SELF. TRY THAT AND IT SHOULD HELP.

Fault Code F1

Frigidaire oven fault code F1 means the electronic clock control is bad and should be replaced. That is the electronic control board that shows your clock display and is also called clock or eoc, depending on your model.
