there are many ways to improve startup time. some safe steps to follow are the following.

1. run "msconfig" - startup tab - disable all except your antivirus software (i use a light microsoft security essentials). services tab - click hide microsoft services, and disable all other services which show up except for services which run with your antivirus program. boot tab - advanced options: select hiytghest number of processors and highest available selection for memory. also check "no gui boot".

2. run disk cleanup or clean manager from windows system32 folder. clean all system files and drive files.

3. run checkdisk and defrag your hardisk.

4. update antivirus and scan your pc. i suggest microsoft security essentials for antivirus, malwarebytes antimalware and trojan remover for malware and other spyware.

check ur registry key, repair ur registry keys and reginout cleaner and then install updated window installer 3.1 and then install msn

use panda cloud antivirus . scan your system with it . it will neutralize your system viruses you can return the file easily from panda cloud antivirus.

The pop up is to notify the user that the webroot program have block certain site or program from runing on your system.

You can disable popup from the configuration "option/setting".

Hi, I presume yo do have an antivirus installed.
So to remove this type of Trojan/worm you need to:

1. Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
2. Update the virus definitions.
3. Run a full system scan.

If you can't get the antivirus to detect it, 1st start you PC in "Safe mode" and run the antivirus full-scan from there.
To start the PC in "safe mode", when teh PC is booting (before the windows loading screen, press F8 to gte the menu to select "safe mode")

If you don;t have antivirus, download AVG free antivirus or visit Microsoft's OneCare site for a freescan & celan.. Do not install an antivirus based on ANY pop-up message you see on teh web.

You need to download and install ComboFix which is a free program for this time of vogue spyware. then after it finsihes you need to run your standard antivirus and such.

I think your PC have virus in it. My recommendation is download any update antivirus, you can try PCMEDIA antivirus. download it here

This is a virus and a pretty bad one. It's capable of disabling your Antivirus and even changing entries in the registry.
Go to "Dogpile.com" and write in how to take out "Antivirus 2009". I had to finally end up reformatting my C drive. But ignore all it's messages as they are bogus. Good Luck...

Are you logged into a Windows profile w/ Administrator privileges?

If not, change your user profile rights to Administrator (from another Administrator profile).

If the problem persists, enter Safe Mode and try enabling and disabling NAV (Norton Antivirus) from there.

If the problem still persists, you may have picked up a virus that disabled your AV software. You can go HERE if you like to perform an online AV scan. There are other sites as well that will do this for you. Just perform a search engine search on "Online AV Scan".
