I have a sony universal remote for my ILO and it says that the code is 098 and I can NOT get this to work. I know this remote works because I've gotten it to work on my old TV but I can not for the life of me get it to work with this TV. Do I have to have the power button in on standby when I program it??? Is there a special trick I need to do after I hold down the set and power key, then the tv button, the code, then enter???? Please HELP ME!!!
Another suggestion for this problem is finding the original replacement remote control for your ILO television. Alot of people do not know that they can find the original remote control for their misplaced remote controls through the internet, on sites like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com. Or you can do a search through google to find a replacement for the remote, instead of struggling to figure out the code for your universal remote. If you do figure out the universal remote code, I definitely would suggest writing down the code, so when the batteries die, you don't find yourself in the same predicament that you are in now.
I found out after I bought it that you can't use a universal remote with these tv's sorry.
You should look for the remote where did you buy the tv.
Try all the code you have for the tv if that does not work then you will have to get the originald remote for your tv.for a originald remote try www.partstore.com good luck.

Any more advise? I'd like all the differnt answers I can get so I can try them all!!
I won the TV in a raffle and they bought the TV OFF THE SHELF from Walmart and it didn't come with a remote. I'm getting very frustrated with this TV.
