Is there a driver for a samsung wb600 for desktop use so i can use it on my pc?

If you mean for download your pictures from the camera, then you don't need a driver. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
Thanks for the info K_akima, i realised that when i plugged it in to my pc lol. i will however use that Picasa program you mentioned as i use windows photo viewer at the moment & its hard work sometimes with the amount of photos i have on file. this is the first time i have used fixya & definitely wont be the last now. your answer to my question was very quick & precise & that's what i want & need. great site, i`m sure i will be telling others in my circle about it now.
