You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. I can not connect wirelessly

hardwire to your router and see if you can that way. if so log into your router (internet explorer in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 Username: linksys and Password:admin (unless someone changed the defaults) then go to Wireless Settings tab, then cange the channel. THen go to Wireless Security tab and reset the "WPA password"

Need to change the security of my SBG 900 wireless router

Plug your router in with an ethernet connection and type 192.168.100.1 into your browser address bar. This should load the modem login screen. Unless you have changed the username / password they are admin / motorola. From here you can click on wireless and configure the SSID and security setup.

I have a linksys wireless router, but don't know the SSID and password. Can you help

the ssid is only the name of your router which will be shown when the signal is picked up wirelessley, not a form of username.

The username should be left blank and the password is admin, the SSID as you mention will be whatever your router is called by default, you can cange this to any name you wish and thats the name that will show to anybody on your network

Forgot password have reset but still wont let me in.

First reset again your router to factory settings, just in case. Do this by pressing the tiny button at the back of the router with a pencil, this works for most of the routers. Then check the router manual or go to factory website and find out default setting for admin and password. some router works with 'admin'/'admin' or 'admin'/'1234'. check factory website.
