Same thing here, but there are spots appeared out of some scratch points, they grew bigger in 2 months and phone stopped responding. Does this require a display replacement or is there a way to change only touch sensitive membrane covering the screen?

excellent brother.. managed to peel of the screen, wipe the glue and its as good as new again. Thank you very much

Hi, I had the same problem. Whenever, I touched my screen the wrong things would respond, then finally one day my phone locked & when I tried to unlock it the screen wouldn't respond at all.Took my phone to 3 sprint stores and all the techs couldn't help. One even accused water damage or overheating because they saw spots under my screen. But I never wet my phone so I thought it might be overheating since I do live in a warm climate. They all tried to get me to buy a new phone, which seemed like a scam. I didn't want to hard reset & lose all my data so I looked closer at the screen & noticed the spots didn't look like water spots & peeled the screen back. I noticed that the glue from around the screen actually leaked onto the screen, so I dampened one end of a q-tip & wiped the glue off the dryed it with the other end. I turn the phone back on and the screen worked fine. Try cleaning thr screen before doing a hard reset or paying for a replacement phone. It'll save you time & headache.
Hope this helps =)

My aria htc screen stopped working yesterday. I have tried to reboot it and it is still nonresponsive. The buttons work, alarm is going off, and incoming calls are coming in but the screen is not...

replacement is the best way to solve this problem, all touch phones are too sensitive nor unrepairable, one of the reason is unexpected falling the phone unto the ground.

Dropping by on the authorize HTC service center will be the best solution.

The touch pad of HTC Touch responds intermittently.

hi, its a error in the phone, I had this happen to mine. You will most likely have to sent it away for repair. Just reflash the stock ROM and make sure that you have reflashed the stock SPL if you where using hard SPL and you will be ok this site will help you flash: http://lievenvw.wordpress.com/2008/09/18/howto-flash-your-htc-diamond-or-htc-touch-pro-with-a-custom-rom/ thank you

Touch Screen

Hi Blu,

A friend had a similar problem, with the touchscreen not responding at all. I read somewhere on the internet that if you press the four corners of the screen very hard with your thumbs it may come back. I tried it...and it worked!

Touch screen & key board with stick does not respond

try aligning the screen...
settings > screen > general > Align Screen

If that doesn't work try hard reset... i.e.
press the two soft keys and the reset button using stylus...

If its still not working do soft reset:
settings > system > Clear storage
but remember to take back up of phone before doing this..as it will erase all your data...

and do tell me if it worked or not...
