Have you checked with an oven type thermometer for 350 degrees against the setting of 350 degrees,if its off very far then its the oven temp sensor in the upper left middle or right rear wall of the oven thats bad it looks like a small pencil type rod 2" to*' long it merely unplugs off the oven s control panel in the rear, you can test its resistance also to get an idea if it is your culprit, otherwise the oven element could have a hot spot in it and not letting all the current thru to properly heat the element,it will be dis-colored in that area

SOURCE: Oven does not maintain temperature while cooking.

Is this a gas unit? If so you might have a weak oven igniter.

SOURCE: Oven not cooking evenly, outside is getting brown but inside is undercooked

Sounds like the igniter is not operating at full capacity. What happens is that the oven does not light when it should. Instead, the oven is cooling down much too far so when the oven does light it has too heat more rapidly. This causes the outside to brown/burn long before it should.

SOURCE: i have a gas oven whirlpool sf3020ekq2 buners work but oven won't

Sounding like your hot surface ignitor is getting bad. What I would like for you to do is open the oven and take the bottom panel off. This is so you can see the hot surface ignitor. Turn the oven on and look at the hot surface ignitor it is down on the bottom right next to the burner assembly. Does it start to glow and turn cherry red? This ignitor isn't too hard to replace couple of small screws and two wires. Will have to cut the wires so disconnect the unit from the 120 volt plug. Now if it starts to glow and get cherry red hot then the gas valve is sticking and it is the one going bad. That is a little tougher to replace. Turn the gas off at the source and get your wrenches unscrew the gas valve small space so if you want remove the door by just pulling it off the hinges.

If unit is old and you don't like it anyway maybe santa would be good to you and replace the stove oven. The gas valve is about 60 bucks or so and hot surface is about 20 bucks. let me know how it turns out.. ken

SOURCE: My oven broiler does not seem to be working

check the bake (lower) element, mine just went out. It was easy to spot the problem once I pulled the element out, the wire had burnt off the end. Please remember to turn the power off first.

What temperature should the TCO in my fan oven be. The maximum temperature of my fan oven is 250 degrees Fahrenheit

The temperature for the TCO in your fan oven should be set to the desired cooking temperature for your recipe. This will depend on the type of food you are cooking and the recipe you are following.

For example, if you are baking bread, a typical temperature would be between 350-450 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are roasting a chicken, a common temperature is 375-400 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are cooking a casserole, a good starting point is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

It's important to follow the recipe or guidelines for the specific type of food you are cooking, as the correct temperature and cooking time will vary based on the ingredients and method

Whirlpool accubake model WFG371LVS2. Set bake to 350, meter reads 465 before shutting off. Thermostat and control panel have been replaced. Is this a proper temp swing?

Could be oven temperature sensor.

Amana Convection oven not controlling temp

I have just checked the baking guide in the manual and have found that it may not be us after all. (Maybe this is why they telll us to read the whole manual. Well, I never have) According to the cooking time for Baking, the range is very extensive. For example, an angel cake at 350 could take from 28-50 minutes, buscuits at 375-400 could take 8-16 minutes, layer cakes at 350-375 could take 25-40 minutes, pound cakes at 325-350 could take 45-70 minutes and fresh pies at 400-450 could take 35-60 minutes. Basically, the baking directions on the box means absolutely nothing to use Amana oven owners. We have no choice but to cook our food or baked goods until they are cooked, whenever that may be. :) Linda
