Good Morning

If you are in the UK and the product is under 2 years old please return to your retailer with the product and your proof of purchase paperwork and they can assist.

Alternatively please go to www.maxi-cosi.com and select the country you're in, then choose "Contact Us" to get in touch with the customer service department in your country.

Someone removed all harness from my Cosco, Summit car seat. I cannot figure out how to get them attached and will not do it without knowing I have done it safely. Help!

My daughter has a car seat just like this one, and I wash it about once a month so I hope I can explain this detailed. First, at the base there is a metal rod that will need removed. When you take this rod out the base and seat will seperate. Set base aside and turn seat upside down. Take your strap and put an end into each slot. Turn seat over and pull your straps even. Put the two black pieces for your latch on (one on each side) then put you chest pieces on and run straps thru slots on back of seat. Turn seat around and make sure the straps go OVER the silver bar in back (this allows you to adjust shoulder height) Secure to the metal piece that runs to front for tightening adjustment. Sey seat back on base and replace rod. Hope this was helpful.

My 2002 Chrysler Town and country has a built in child restraint seat in one of the rear captian chairs how do I adjust it?

I have the same seats. All you have to do is pull the small teather stap at the top of the child booster seat. You pull it to make it tighter around the child or you pull it and then pull the child saftey straps at the same time. You also do not have to purchase the manual if you call chrysler they will send you one for free. That is how I got mine.

Having trouble with straps in car seat

Bring the straps up through the holes on the bottom of the seat, one on each side. The metal plate on the end should pull in flat and snug against the plastic. Slide the buckle pieces back on, making sure they're facing the right direction to snap in. Slide the chest clip back onto both straps.
Place the ends of the straps through the slots you want the harness at (at or below the child's shoulders for rear-facing, at or above the shoulder's for forward facing), making sure that they don't twist. Pull them down low behind the seat.
The adjuster part of the strap has a kind of Y shaped metal plate - pull it up to meet the ends of your straps, making sure that it
doesn't twist, either.
There are loops at the end of the harness straps. Feed the curved part of the Y through the loop of the strap that's on the same side of the seat. Pull it all the way through, so that the fatter part on the ends of the metal plate are exposed and curve around a bit beyond the strap so that it doesn't slip back off. Do the same with the other side.
Now adjust the harness to fit your child. When it's tightened properly, you should not be able to pinch up any slack, lengthwise, at the hips or shoulders, and it should lie in a straight line down the front, with no drooping. Also adjust the chest clip - it should lie even with your child's armpits - not up in the neck, and not over the belly, where it can't do it's job properly. (It's job is to hold the straps over the center of the shoulders...if it's over the belly, they're likely to slip down off of the shoulders in an accident or sudden stop and also poses the danger of internal injuries.)

One other thing - car seat harnesses should never be submerged in water, as it can damage and weaken the webbing. They should only cleaned with a damp rag. If you put your harness in water when you washed the rest of the seat, I'd strongly recommend contacting Cosco (contact info here) to order a replacement harness.

Missing Instruction Manual

https://plweb.evenflo.com/faq_detail.aspx?faqid=4407 the above link is for the manual but here are the instructions. If you have two plastic harness adjusters located on the back of your seat please follow the following steps: On the very bottom of your car seat locate two metal anchors one on each side of the seat, pull the metal anchors out of position and turn them sideways and feed them through to the front of the seat. Release the buckle tongues and chest clip and pull the harness straps to the back of the seat while pushing the chest clips, buckle tongues and harness anchors through to the back of the car seat. NOTE: You may find it easier by pulling down the seat pad when feeding the straps through. All pieces will fit through the harness slots. Choose the appropriate slots for the new harness position. Push the harness anchors, harness straps, buckle tongues and chest clips back through to the front of the seat. Once the straps are completely pulled back through to the front of the seat, make sure the straps are not twisted by clipping the chest clip together and buckling the buckle tongues, then feed the metal anchors through to the bottom of the seat and clip anchors back into place. ********************************************************************* If you have an adjustment strap that is located in between the child?s foot area that allows you to loosen and tighten the straps please follow the following steps: Loosen the harness straps by pressing the harness release button that is located between the child?s legs near the feet area; while pulling on the harness straps from the front of the car seat near the shoulder area. Turn the car seat around and from the back side of the seat follow the straps down to the metal splitter plate, remove the ends of both straps from the metal splitter plate. Once the straps are removed, pull both harness straps completely through to the front of the seat. Choose the appropriate slots for the new harness position and feed both straps through from the front of the seat to the back of the seat. Making sure straps are not twisted; hook each end of the straps back onto the metal splitter plate. Tighten the harness straps by pulling the adjustment strap located on the front the car seat between the child?s legs.
