Resetting the Watch after Changint a Battery

I just bought a Luminox 821 Chrono. The battery was dead, so I replaced it. Now it seems that the chrono registers are acting a bit strange and inaccurately. Does the movement need to be reset or cleared after changing a battery? And, if so, how do I go about doing that? Thanks.

On the back of my watch it says "Series 800 MBM H3". It is a chronograph but when I changed the battery there was no AC point. After I changed the battery I was able to get all the chronograph dials to zero. Is there an AC point I am not seeing?

Yes! I Don't recommend doing this yourself but if you open up the back you will see AC and a spot to touch with a twezer to short it out to the main plate. Then close the watch and pull the crown out and push the pushers in and out to set each dial.

Do I have to wind the watch after I replace the battery? If so, how do I go about winding it?

No you don't have to wind this watch..it is a quartz movement powered by a battery...the only thing the crown is used for is resetting the time and date, you are probably thinking of a mechanical watch which is powered by a mainspring...:)

My Luminox (one of the original navy seals model)is losing time. Can I adjust it, and how?

there's really no way to adjust this problem...unless the watch has been severly jarred or damaged in some way it is most likely just a low or dead battery..if it has been damaged only a watchmaker would be able to replace the faulty gears or parts

Luminox 3100 series watch stops at night.

It is very possible that the battery is old. They sit in the stores for a while before selling. Good brands of batteries are recommended but not a guarantee of a fresh one. Batteries can be poorly made, lack a proper charge, etc. from the store. I have installed three batteries before on the same watch before finding one that worked. I sometimes have bad luck. I buy batteries in bulk and replace as necessary now.

Luminox 8152 chrono

If you have your instruction manual it should tell you how to reset the chrono. i have the Luminox 8352 and it says to pull the crown out to the 3rd position. then press and hold both the start/stop and lap/reset buttons for a couple of seconds. you'll see the second hand rotate, then you can single click the start/stop button to manually move the second hand 1 second, or you can hold it and it will continue move for a longer period until time desired. if you need to adjust the other chrono hands, click the lap/reset button and then you can click the start/stop button again. repeat for the minute/hour chrono hand. when you're finished push the crown back in. it might work even though it's a different model, worth a shot? hope that helps. these are really great watches.
