Help! My edison 40 dehumidifier runs- can hear motor and such but there is no water in bin after 12 hours! My basement is very humid right now! I know the float is hanging ok but am cluless what else could be the problem. I've tried it on all settings too! Of course the warrantee is up!
Old post, but in case someone stumbles in here like i did, I need to point out that if an A/C needs to be recharged, then there has to be a leak somewhere, there is no use on recharging unless you find the place where is leaking.
It needs a freon re-charge, may be cheaper to get a new one
to not work or collect water..981 views

I have the same problem and my unit is less than 2 years old. Will not be buying this product again!
dehumidifier works fine for a few hours, then the fan stops running, comp. continues to run. fan blades turn freely.
