To Change the language to English of Samsung SGH-i900 OMNIA. Follow the given instructions

1. First of all Download Samsung Omnia Operating System ZHHH2
2. Now hold your OMNIA in your hand Press the Dial key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer. Keypad will open
With the onscreen keypad press *#1546792*#
Now Select "Preconfiguration"
Now enter code *#81230*# and select OK
Select "Hong Kong" with the default Operator
Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET

3. Now open i908ZHHH2_ENG from download folder which you have downloaded in step 1

4. Turn off the Samsung SGH-i900 OMNIA

5. Connect the OMNIA to a PC using the usb cable

6. Turn on the OMNIA

7. Click start button if the device found & wait for job done message

The Samsung SGH-i900 requires that the Samsung PC Studio software first be installed on your PC. Below is the link to the Samsung support page for the i900.

When you arrive at the page, scroll down and on the left hand side (your left) and you'll see the words, Download Center I900. Just below that, you'll see the words, Manuals - Software. You must click on the word, Software to view the software download page.

The software download page has two options to choose from. Choose the first, (top) option which is Samsung PS Studio II. Make sure that your PC's operating system is (Win 2000/XP/Vista).

Look to your right in the box and click on the little blue (EXE) download link. You'll need to click, Agree when prompted. The file download box will pop-up. Click, Save File - and choose your desktop to find it more easily after it downloads. After it downloads, click on the download folder to begin the install and follow the prompts. And, restart your PC after installing the software.

DO NOT have your phone connected to your PC during the install. And, make sure you check for updates after installing, too.

In order to utilise english on your omnia you will need to download the omnia updater and then use it to install the english language ROM file. links below.

Your best bet is to soft reset the device, uninstall ALL samsung software off you pc including drivers. then ensure the phone is in ActiveSync mode and then install all software from the disc or samsung.com site and then connect the phone.

1 : Download & install latest version ActivSync 4.5 for XP ActiveSync 4.5
2 : Download samsung omnia os ZHHH2Z < full update Hong Kong English tested by me

3: Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer

4 : open i908ZHHH2_ENG from download folder

5 : Turn off the omnia

6 : connect the omnia to a pc using the usb cable

7 : turn on the omnia

8 : click start button if the device found
