Analogue hands don't correspode to digital clock

The watch went hay wire one day. hands kept rotating continuously then they stopped after a day. and everything has returned to normal except the hands do not correspond with the digital display. They are 2 hours behind. and now also when you touch the screen the hands rotate to about about 2 hours behind where they should be pointing.

Is their anyway to resync the hands withe digital display

  • bkirn Jan 27, 2009

The digital time and the analog time are not synchronized.

Moreover, when the minute hand is on 12 o'clock, the hour hand is between hours, as if it where approximately half past the hour.

    HELP!

Hi,

Sometimes a watch will be off center due to shock, dead battery etc. Symptoms are; hands don’t line up, digital and analog time doesn’t match, Compass function doesn’t have the hands exactly opposite etc. This can all be fixed. The Synchronization function can be used:

1. Activate Crystal
2. Tap center until you are the unit’s screen (12h or 24h, F ft or C m).
3. Push and hold (at least five seconds) the center crown
4. Watch will beep and word (SYNCHRO) will appear in the display.
5. Use the top + button to line up the minute hand right on the 12.
6. Use the bottom – button to line up the hour hand right on the 12.
7. When finished, press crown and you will go back to time.

I have Sekonda analogue / digital watch, it has 4 buttons but no winder. How do I change the analogue hands to the correct time?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to Watches from Sewing Machines.

Here is every Sekonda Manual. Look for a 4 number code on the back. Normally there is a button combination that moves the hands fast or a click at a time like an alarm clock or timer.

Hi, I have a police watch 10962j and I thought the battery had expired due to the hands stopping. It was changed by a local timpsons however the clock does not work but the stopwatch facility does!!..is...

If the stopwatch facility is a digital LCD display, then you probably have a watch with TWO batteries. One for the electronics and one for the analogue hands movement. The Electronics circuit board can be lifted out, revealing the smaller hands battery.

Digital working, hands don't

Hi,
digital and analogue watches have 2 different batteries,I believe you need to replace the battery of the analog part ..just reminder,so save money and time you can replace both at the same time to prevent to replace the digital one 2 months later.!

Hope this helps!

ADJUSTING ANALOGUE CLOCK

Keep pressing 'select mode' button until you get to H-SET. Than hold 'adjust' button until screen starts to blink. Now you can adjust analog clock by pressing 'start/stop (search)' button. When you are finished, just press 'adjust' button once. That's all.

Analog clock not in sync with digital clock

This problem may be due to your analog hands being improperly zeroed. To find out, try this: 1. Put the watch in chronograph mode by rotating the crowon in its normal position to "chr" 2. Pull out the crown two clicks. This should cause all of the hands to point to zero. If you do this and your minute hand points to 1 o'clock, or five minutes, you will know that this is the problem. If this is the problem, you can can correct it by zeroing the hands as follows: 1. Put the watch in chronograph mode by rotating the crowon in its normal position to "chr" 2. Pull out the crown two clicks. This should cause all of the hands to point to zero, or close to it. You should also notice the letters "HR" in the lefthand digital display. This allows you to move the hour hand by rotating the crown. If the hour hand is not pointing at 12 o'clock, rotate it so that it does. 3. Push the top button once. The letters "MIN" should appear in the lefthand digital display. This allows you to move the minute hand on the large dial, and the minute and hour hands on the small UTC dial. Rotate the crown so that the minute hand points directly to 12 o'clock. 4. Push the top button again. The letters "SEC" should appear in the lefthand digital display. Rotate the crown to point the second hand directly at 12 o'clock. 5. Push the crown back into its normal position. Set the digiatl time and date in your tie zone, and your analog hands should match the digital read-out. If the zeroing of the hands is not the problem, I don't know what is wrong with the watch.
