There are a number of factors.  The maximum milliwatts per channel (left and right) is only 5 mw.  This is fairly low, plus the sound level in decibels is pretty low, about 90db, while others are usually 95db or higher.  The other factor is the fact that the stock earphones, the one that came with the emo, has a lot of extra plasic covering the metal part that protects the earphone speakers.  If you take off the plastic 3 spoke designed protector carefully, and cut all of the spoke design leaving only the circle, and place it back on carefully, then it will almost double the output of the sound.  Another reason that the sound is lower, regardless of any headphones you use, is the fact that the higher the ohms used, generally the softer the sound.  Most mp3 players will be only 16 ohms, but the Emo is in fact 32, and that alone lowers the db level and milliwatt output.  I would suggest either going to FYE and purchase the Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds like I did, or something similar to it with at least 100db output.  Don't worry about the warning about using 16 ohms instead of 32 ohms as in most cases, it doesn't do much harm.  If you can find a decent 32 ohm headset or earphone (personally, the in ear design would be best for the Emo as it is already fairly quiet, plus it cuts out some outside noise) that has 100db or more output, I'd get those instead just to make sure the Emo will last it's full lifespan.  The higher the db on the headphones, the lower the battery consumption, also.

How to put videos in my Trek Stor

You have to use the "transcoder" software that came with the unit or can be downloaded at the trekstor website (www.trekstor.de). The transcoder converts the videos to SMV format for viewing on the unit. Videos must be saved under the MVIDEO folder in order for the unit to find them.

My pics for I. beat emo

That is pretty easy...
when you get pictures, they need to in bmp format, or any
other format pictures are in. Just copy your pictures to the picture folder in your trekstor( plugin your trekstor to your computer) and paste in that folder. You don't need to convert anything for this process.

Video

You can upload SMV files directly to the player.

1.) Download SigmaTel's Transcoder program, version 4.00 is the current release.

2.) Convert your AVI file. Use 128x128 resolution.

3.) Copy the SMV file to emo's MVIDEO folder.

Files in the wrong resolution will show in emo's menu, but won't play

Rechargeable batteries

It should last 3 years or 500 charges. After that, throw the unit away. My emo cost $5 at Office Depot after rebate.
