Check the pins on the inside of the Ipod and the dock. It could be making contact with the power pins but not the send receive pins. Small pin will help you bend these out gently to make contact again.
You can change the Radio station by using the button on the top of the stereo system. The double arrows left and right will change the radio station when in "Radio" mode.
You have to have a remote but if you don't have the original, just download a generic remote control app for your mobile and add the device from the DB. I used AnyMote for Android but others are available.
Once I had all the FM channels I needed I binned the app but it would be easy next time.
From the Panasonic SC-HC55 manual, reset the units memory to factory. (unplug the unit, wait 3 minutes, then holding the power button, plug it back in. Wait unitl the display shows ........., you may need to do this a couple of times. To get the device to pair, it needs to be displaying "PAIRING".
Not all ipod classic work with your SC-HC57 you need an older Panasonic SC-HC30 to work with that ipod :( or an iphone or ipod touch to work with your SC-HC57
Have you checked the contacts where the device slides into it? First thing I'd try is flipping the dock upside down and sweeping a small paint brush along those little metal contacts, to make sure there's no debris in them, keeping them from making contact. Make sure that the metal contacts are in proper alignment to fit with the contacts in your device. Also if the contacts aren't shiny metal, a piece of fine sandpaper run gently along them will pull the corrosion off.
