My wife and I have our computers in the home office. we both have our own Wireless 600 mouse. When she uses hers, it controls both hers and my computer. How can I stop this from happening?
Hi there. I fixed the problem. We both got the same desktop set, but I was planning to keep on using my bluetooth laser mouse 8000 instead of the wireless laser mouse 6000 that came with the set. It turns out that this is not possible because the wireless desktop receiver expects a mouse, and if it does not find one, it links to my wife's. A soon as I tuned off the 8000 mouse and inserted the batteries and connected the 6000 mouse, the problem went away.
I am a bit disappointed as I really like the 8000 mouse, but the 6000 one is not so bad.Hi there. I fixed the problem. Try setting each one up from the start with the other disconnected and off. Start with yours first since it seems your receiver has synced with her mouse. I'm guessing because yours was setup second.

The wireless dongle plugged into the computer is on a specific frequency and you wont be able to peer it with a different mouse. However if it is a Bluetooth and not wireless, you can pair another Bluetooth mouse no problem.
The wireless mouse functions with batteries. Snap open the location area at buttom of mouse to either check for misalligned batteries or dead batteries requiring replacement. I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 that also has a very short range. The only solution I've found so far is to plug the receiver into a USB extention cord and run the cord toward the mouse.

Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon. Then
the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons. Put the pointer on the left button and then go to the drop down and make sure the buttoon is set properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Hi
If you take the batteries out there is a screw in there. unscrew and open (not easy) with flat knife in the edges wiggling.
attach and touch all the inside wires. I have had the same problem and it is an internal connector problem. Opening and closing aint easy and will take a little patience but it will work.
Good luck
