I found a partial manual for the 2818C available from Google: www.disivenca.com/manuales/Manual%202868.pdf . This version has English, French and Spanish instructions. This site has the English version of the manual for sale: http://204.197.251.177/document.php?iddocument=Dwf39dudee#.UKgnUjmk5G8 .

Many Singer sewing machine manuals are available for purchase or free download from Singer here: http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals . However, the site didn't list the 2818 or the alternative model number of 2868. (If you go to a Singer dealer, you may be able to get a manual for a reasonable price. Other sewing machine dealers have done so for us.)

I hope this helps.

Singer 7033, how do you raise the dog feed.

The feed dogs on the 7033 shouldn't drop down. This model uses a cover over the feed dogs when doing free-motion sewing. To remove the cover, raise the needle and presser foot. Open the slide plate over the bobbin by sliding it towards you. Lift up the front edge of the cover and pull it away. Close the slide plate and lower the presser foot.
Many Singer manuals are available here: https://www.singer.com/support . The current link to the 7033 manual is https://res.cloudinary.com/singer-sewing/image/upload/fl_attachment/Singer-Website-Library/outdated_product/SINGER_7029_7033__7035_and_9410_Sewing_Machine.pdf . The cover is shown on page 8 of the manual. See page 12 for the picture of removing the feed dog cover.

I hope this helps. If the feed dogs are actually down and not covered, there is probably something broken in the sewing machine.

Need instructions for Singer buttonhole attachment 103233.

I found a manual for several Singer Buttonholers here: http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/manuals/singer-sewing-machine-manuals.html . I'm not sure of the part number for the Professional Buttonholer Model, which looks like the one for my Singer Touch & Sew. Mine is part #161829 (if I read the box correctly).

I hope these help.

I need manual for a Singer sewing machine model # 8280. I have lost mine and can't remember how to lubricate it.

They have a free instruction manual download on singer website
On the homepage at the bottom look for instruction manual & click on it
It will take you to a page where there's a box put in the model number 8280 then click search
The second one is a free download

The black housing where the bobbin sits keeps coming out in y Singer 988 model sewing machine. Please help

If you have the manual for your machine, check the cleaning/maintenance section to see how to clean around the bobbin. Your machine probably has some method to allow you to release the housing for cleaning, and reengage the housing for sewing. Make sure it is reengaged.
Hope this helps.

Threading Singer 247 bobbin, no manual

Slot A looks like a groove in the front of the bobbin housing just pull the thread to the right and then to the left to get it into groove A, groove B is to the left of A when you pull it into A it will slip into B. You then just pull the thread forward and you are good to go. I hope this makes sense. I can try to take a picture of mine and see if I can get a clear picture if you still need help.

Feed Dogs, Thread Tangle

Hi Jeanette! You have a Singer Featherweight--the best sewing machine ever made! (Mine dates from 1950/51 and I wouldn't trade it for the world.) These beautiful, sturdy machines were designed to be easily repairable at home, but you'll need a copy of the Service Manual (get the Instruction manual too, if you don't have one.) Go to www.singer-featherweight.com and check out what they have available.

I had a similar problem (needle thread not catching the bobbin thread) and the problem was that I hadn't put the needle in correctly (flat side to the left). Also, I will occasionally get thread wrapped around the bobbin housing--sewing along just great and then everything comes to a screeching halt. I'm not sure why that happens, but I'm getting pretty good at taking the bobbin housing apart. The manual is pretty clear on how to do it. You can contact me direct at [email protected] for more information.

Thanks!

Robbie
