press trans/pgm key, press flex key you want to program, dial number you want to store including number for outside line and press hold/save key

That needs to be done by a vertical dealer, it is not a user level function

if green means in use, then there is a short somewhere in that line. do you get a dialtone?

Now that's an oldie but a goodie :-)

Line Preference Incoming (called PREF LINE ANSWER in Vodavi) requires system programming from a 24 button set. It's a sequence of FLASH 50 (your extension twice) and hold, then press Flex key 8 and dial 0 HOLD.

Of course you have to know how to get into system programming and try not to do anything destructive.

Headset mode requires a button. In addition, the speakerphone needs to be disabled in admin programming.
