SOURCE: internal microphone not working,is it a software problem.

My built in web cam for compaq 765tu not working, as all the drivers have been installed sucessfully and no unknown device in present in the device manager

Samsung r530 microphone is not working

Check the device manager in the control panel to make sure that the internal microphone is not disabled. If you can re-enable it in device manager, it should re-appear in the sound set-up, so you can select it as the default microphone.

Internal microphone

Usually the speakers on the laptop would act as a microphone- go into speaker properties, enable microphone and see it reacts. Bar that, you could go with the usb or bluetooth microphone route (I use the same headset for my phone as a microphone for my pc)

Microphone built-in not working

However, if the internal laptop microphone is not working properly, you have a driver problem (as there is no connection issue and the laptop is automatically set to use the built-in microphone). To correct the problem you need to reinstall the laptop's mic driver.

Does my laptop have an internal microphone?

Most new laptop has a built-in or internal microphone. to check whether is working,

go to control panel > hardware & sound > sound > manage audio device > recording then check the microphone equalizer if it's moving or responding.

Hi, Internal microphone on my acer aspire 8920g which originally has vista is not working now on windows 7. To be honest I didn't pay attention while I had vista and can't now remember if it worked at...

I suggest you go into control panel and device manager and see if your internal mic is listed there. If it is right click on it and see if it is selected as your default mic. I believe it may be un-selected. If that doesn't work I would just use the external mic with Skype as the internal mics with most laptops aren't that good anyway.
