Go to control panel > Device Manager > scroll down to the network devices and click on the plus sign. Highlight the wireless device. Right click on it and choose uninstall. click ok and reboot the system. When windows reloads, it will recognice the new device and want to load the drivers for it. It may ask you if it can search windows update for a fresh driver, allow it to continue. The drivers will load and the correct settings applied. All should be as it should.

Boss You need to install suitable wireless network adopter so as to support your wifi in the laptop. generally the most common Network adopter used in Hp laptops is Atheros AR 5006X.. so go the device manager of the lapltop and check it out whether the drivers are working fine or not.. so install New drivers if required.. which you can easily find in internet.. some of the common website are..brothersoft.com..etc Hope that helps you.. SOURCE: I can connect to wifi
I would for sure look at the security settings, you more than likely saved the profile from the hotel that may be configured as for example wpa and your home may be wep.... check your security settings to make sure you have the correct configurations, also I would go into your wireless settings and delete the hotels wireless profile. You will be able to see the security being used when you look at the network list that shows your ssid signal at home. please feel free to respond with any questions... I hope this helps and good luck. :)
