960 memory error - Lexmark C532n Color Laser Printer

Lights 3 & 4 means "Memory modules are detected, but a memory failure has occurred." Bingo! I didn't actually replace memory sticks, but pulled them out and put back in one by one. Only three out of four sticks were accepted. Works.

The printer memory is failing. RAM soldered on the system board is bad. It would be best if you contact Lexmark Technical Support for proper assistance.

A 960 RAM MEMORY FAILURE message indicates a failure of the RAM MEMORY that is soldered onto the printer's main controller/system board.

If the printer is displaying a 960 memory error.

1. Power off the printer.
2. If you have any extra memory SIMMs or code SIMMs installed in the printer, remove them.
3. Power on the printer.
4. If the 960 error continues, the main controller/system board will probably need to be replaced.
5. If the 960 error does not return, try printing a few documents.
6. If these documents print correctly, the cause of the 960 memory error is probably one of the SIMMs you just removed.
To confirm this, do the following:

1. Turn off the printer and reinstall each SIMM one at a time.
2. After you install each memory card, power the printer back on and try printing. If the error returns as soon as you install a particular SIMM, that SIMM is probably the cause of the error message.

The error indicates that the system board's on-board memory has failed. This usually requires a service call but you can try to turn off the printer, then turn on after 15 seconds. If the problem continues, I strongly suggest you contact Lexmark technical support or an authorized service provider for assistance. You may need to know your printer's model type and the serial number when calling for service. Thanks.

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked" or "memory card error". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the switch on the side of the card, and the switch internal to the camera. Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

Blinking amber ... seems like an isuue with the power supply .. check if you see the power supply fan spinning at the back of the system tower... If its spinning then you could try reseating the memory modules inside the system tower . Opem the tower and then disconnect the green colour ruler shapped modules which has a latch on either sides. then try turning in the system ... check if turns on properly.

* Try using the memory card with other devices
* If problem still persist call the Tech Number for the memory card manufacturer

Given that consumer telephones are inexpensive, the cost of repairing the speaker phone on the 960 (assuming you still have it) is probably not worth it.

Going off of my memory....to program a speed dial you would first press "Program", enter the telephone number you want stored and then press the one of the memory buttons to save the number to. If the number is to be saved on a lower memory position press "Lower" before you press the memory button.

AT&T's telephone product website has a section where user manuals for many AT&T and Lucent branded telephones.

The 960 is no longer listed, but the many of the basic functions are similar to the 922.
