Hi, You can definitely make white bread in your machine. Just google for bread machine recipes and I'm sure you will find something. I actually went to a second hand book store and found a cool recipe book. I use this one more than the recipe book that came with my machine. Hank

You can find a manual for your bread machine with these instructions:

1. Go to www.searspartsdirect.com
2. Next to "Find a part", click "Model #".
3. Enter Model number 23848487 and click Search.
4. It will say there are no parts available, but on the right side of the page, there is a "Get manuals for this model". Click "View manuals".
5. That takes you to a site called Manage My Home. Register for an account, and you should be able to download the full Owner's manual.
