Fridge door left open all day.. now its not coming on?

The door on my fridge was left open all day (about 9 hours). Now it's not wanting to come back on. I have tried flipping the breaker off for a few minutes then turning it back on, and also unplugging it and putting it in the bottom plug in. I need help on a fix that won't cost a lot of money. How do I get it working?

The compressor overheated. Unplug the Ref for 20-30 min. to let the compressor cool. Remover the back cover so you can see the compressor, this will help it cool off. A window fan set to blow on the compressor will help.

When the compressor is cool enough to touch plug it back in. It may start and run just fine or if it just clicks and does not run, replace the compressor relay.

LG French Door Refrigerator Error Code 15

My problem was similar to yours and my lg refrigerator model number is: LMXS30776D/02, I followed the steps like you with no luck. I just fixed mine last night and it's a pleasure for me to share with you my experience. As I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my fridge, as I was shaking and lifting the left front door of my fridge I noticed that the error code E: 15 disappear on the display. As we open the door back and forth for normal use,the error E: 15 comes back again. From that,I realized something wrong with the left front door of the fridge. I ordered a new left door, It came in yesterday, I installed it last night and everything works beautifully in my fridge, no more code what so ever. as a result, if you are experiencing the same problem, most likely you need to think replacing the left door of the fridge.
Let me know if this help.
Thank you.

Fridge not cooling after doors left open for at least 2 possibly 5 days. What should I do? Turn off for 24 hours? I have limited skills when it comes to repairing anything. Thanks!

It would have been far easier to switch off and just scrape the inside with a pladtic scraper ...then give it a good wipe and after a couple of hours plug it back in.

Why is Fridge not cooling well?

The part number you need is going to be WR09X10050. This is for the damper assembly, but while you are at it change out part number WR55X10150. this is the part that controls the damper and more than likely if one fails the other will be soon to follow

Fridge door was left opened and now the fridge wont work but freezer working fine

All the cold air comes from the freezer side so if the fridge side is not cooling then the baffle door is not opening up or it has accumilated ice in it and frozen up. I would try to unplug it for a hour or so with the doors open and let it thaw and then plug back up and let it run for a couple hours to see if that fixes it. If not then I would suggest having the baffle checked.

I have a zanussi fridge freezer model no zx56/4w. the fridge door was left open for 10 days now fridge is too warm and freezer is icing up

you need to totally defrost the fridge/freezer and start as if it were new and dry.allow 24 hours for the unit to settle to the correct temp.

This is s top freezer type. the bottom door was left ajar for several days. freezer seems to get cold but the bottom doesnt get cold.

Shiut down the fridge and let the fridge defrost off maybe about 8 hours. When the door was left open there could have been frost build up in the evaporator and blocked the vents.
So once the frost has been cleared off the fridge can be switched on to perform well.

Left ge stainless steel fridge and freezer door open acciently

youll need to unplug and defrost all the ice from hte back panel, leave unplugged for a min of 24, hours, then plug back in you should be fine. way too much ice has built up behind hte inner panel ,cutting of all air flow to both compartments.you did no real harm( other then losing your food
