Inner bladder is needed to hold the fresh water for spray. Make sure the bladder is pulled through the bottom of the tank and that the black cap with a red rubber seal on the bottom of the tank.

If the black cap is missing you'll need to purchase a new one. Here's a quick link.

I am at my daughters trying to clean her carpets and i want to know if i set it up right to shampoo her carpets . i only put water and solution in the small container in the back, but i didn't add it...

The smaller container in the back under the release handle it the cleaning solution resevoir. The larger one in the front is for the hot water. It has an internal bladder that holds clean water in this larger container, while returning the dirty to the outer bladder chamber. Both need to be filled with water at the very least in order for the machine to work. If either goes empty, the machine will stop working.

-Formula Tank might be empty-> Fill with Bissell fiber cleansing formula for cleaning.
-Tanks may not be seated completely-> Turn power off and reset the tanks.

How do i fill the water

There is a tank within a tank design on these deep cleaners. Use warm tap water and fill the inner bladder.

The Tank-in-Tank system is designed with a bladder inside for

clean water. As you clean, the bladder will empty. Dirty water

collects in the tank outside the bladder.

Whare does the dirty water go in the bissel 12 amp pro heat carpet cleaner

the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! Water leaking out from bottom of 7901

That part can go bad, but I have found more often the a water line came loose. Take out the 6 screw and the flow indictor cap, remove the top, then inspect that area. If you find what the problem is, fix it then when you put the top back on, make sure the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix valve and that the knob is in the water only spot, then push the top back on. If you need to replace the auto-load receiver, the part # is 2140710 and you can order from a local repair shop.

Trobble

The tank has a bladder in it, the clean water goes into the bladder, the dirty water will go on the outside of the bladder.
