Hi - About 6 weeks ago I bought a tablet PC (it was used, an ebay purchase) and everything was working fine, including wireless. A week later the hard drive failed, but it was replaced by the seller in person for no charge and he tested the wireless at his home before giving it back to me. Once I arrived home I couldn't get the wireless to work. Internet works fine through an ethernet cable. When I open the view available wireless networks it just says none are in range. I even reset my wireless router and i know it is working fine, works ok with my brother's wii.
Thanks for the help!!

Also check the compaQ menu that is the hardware toggle to turn wireless on and off. there is no function keys like most laptops.
near where the power button is there is a button labeled Q. which will bring up a settings menu like an on scree display and that is where you toggle wireless hardware support on or off
Do you have the restore disks for the tablet? The second disk has the drivers and reloading the driver should fix the problem
Is your wireless adapter actually turned on? The little "radiating antenna" light below the screen should be on. If not, click on the radiating antenna with your stylus, and it will turn on.
Hi,
if you have installed all drivers correctly, then you have to enable the wlan with the q-menue software. this software is provided on the hp homepage.

You use Q-Menu to turn on or off WLAN. Go to HP and download/install Q-Menu:

Also, replacing the motherboard on a laptop is not exactly fun. Go to the link below, it is something I have come accross before. It is a step by step guide with pictures for completely disassembling your laptop which you will be doing. I suggest reading the beginning and make sure you have everything you need before starting. Good luck and let me know if there si anything else I can do for you
