NO POWER
Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet, that the prong section is connected with a clean contact to the brick, that the magsafe connector and port are both clean. Remove the battery. Now power on the laptop with the power button.
If this does not work, attempt to reset the NVRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379). If this is still not working, you can disassemble the machine and remove the upper part of the bottom case (lifting the keyboard section, and try to reseat the keyboard connection to the logic board. This cable is what allows the power button to turn on the machine. If this fails to fix it, then you have either a bad i/o board, or a bad system board, or a bad power cord.
