My camcorder skips or shows a blue screen while playing. It will show ~1 frame for a second, and then go blue, the time code will stop, then jump ahead where the video will continue playing for a bit. Then it will freeze again. If you use fast forward or rewind, you can see that it captured all the images. So the data is there. Help!!

I forgot to mention, when you look have the time code visible, during the pauses, it goes to --- -- ----, but during fast forward, you can see it count up with no breaks at all. if playing it will sometimes skip 10 seconds or more.

It's just as ThaApe described. While importing video into iMovie, the picture will break up occasionally before dropping out altogether. It's not a matter of cleaning the heads.

SOURCE: My Sony Model CCD-F301 camcorder

Your ccd-f301 camcorder if as old as the hills and should be replaced. I can fix them but it a total rebuild due to major capacitor failure . Then also can have issues with the guide arms coming off the guides and very loose guide rollers. It's a 20 year old camcorder. What is going on with your ccdtrv608? that is a cool camcorder. My sony trv460 only shows blue screen on playback - first it was skipping - I bought head cleaner but the camcorder does not run it - I have tried using alchol with cotton to wipe directly, but still

You can also try blowing compressed air similar to what you use to clean your keyboard. It can often dislodge any particles that impede the heads from spinning properly.

Will Not View All Pictures In Photo Directory

Take the camera and tag the pictures and select all of them and tag/ favorite and protect and tag some more directories you can create. That will delay transfering the pictures but all of them will transfer to files.
