Unit runs fine during it's weekly tests. Checked and oil is full, I have an OEM filter installed. Unit runs on propane. The utility power is typically of for about 10 seconds before it restores. This problem has only happened twice in 2-1/2 years
Check the inlet fuel pressure, on exervise there is no load, when power is out it is loaded and demands more fuel. Also check for bugs blocking gas regulators vents etc

Check battery volatge while you are cranking engine if voltage drops below 9 vdc you have a bad battery. If it doesn't you probable have a bad starting solenoid or a bad ground at the starting solenoid.

If the engine does not turn over check for the obvious , dead battery or blown fuse or fuses on the control board.

The monitoring system of our Kohler propane generator has sent a "UU" message. What does this mean as it causes the generator to shut down 10 seconds after starting? Also how can this be corrected?

SCFO is either what is displayed just before it cranks or when it is first powered up. Sounds like the controller may have forgotten what engine its running or is getting a bad run signal from the start switch. In either case a 1 year old controller should not be doing this. I would try having a local dealer doing a firmware update as there were quite a few for this controller and if this doesn't fix the problem I would start talking warranty with whoever replaced the controller.
