When i got my item i put it to charge for 6hours as recommended and when i powered it on it remained on the first screen.....please assist me as i only have this item 1 day

my Zeepad says "Unfortunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped" and the keyboard won't come up to let me type anything in.
Worked fine last night. This morning when I cut it on a message came up that says "unfortunately Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped". It won't bring up the keyboard at all to let me type anything in.
doesn't seem to be charging and when turned on it will light up but change into half black or lines on the screen
My son got a Zeepad for Christmas. It has been working fine until three days ago. Now, when you turn it on the screen just goes white. Tried charging it but it doesn't do any good. Tried powering off and on...nothing there either.
both my daugers got onefor christmas (2013) and the screen went white after weeks, now my othr daughters zeepad is doing the same thing.what can i do?
