SOURCE: ilo 27 inch hdmi/dvi hd tv monitor

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

SOURCE: Insignia LCD TV won't recognize computer input...

Heres the dealyo.
Click start button
Click control panel
Click display
Click settings
adjust screen resolution (probably have to go down) until the tv displays your computer
if this did not work, you will have to adjust bit rate from 32 to 16. Fiddle with the settings until the magic happens.
You will not get any sound unless you use an audio jack plugged into t.v.

Im here all week

SOURCE: Samsung TV can't detect connection to laptop

Make sure you set the laptop to display at a resolution the TV can display, it seems best to start with 1024x768 then work up.

If you are using a VGA - HDMI converter it is possible you will not get a picture.

You should be able to set the laptop to 1024 x 768, plug it into the TV, select PC input on the TV remote, and the picture should appear.

If not, then check you have the monitor output on the laptop switched on, test it with another monitor to be sure.

If all the above still fails to work, and you've checked the cable the TV has a fault.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: "No Signal" Message when using HDMI Inputs on 26" Proscan LCD TV

You MUST get HDMI Driver for your Video Card, it is NOT standard. You need to go to PC makers web site and download latest Video Divers for your PC, then you must set up Multiple Desktops, To do that you must first connect the TV, but leave OFF, connect up to PC, reboot, setup Video Card, turn ON TV, TV will have already been detected, On PC, Share the desktop, or Clone, whatever you wish, now reboot after saving settings. Now you set the TV for HDMI already and it should show you a desktop when chosen. You must select and setup TV, FIRST, then connect the PC. From then on, Turn the TV ON, then turn the PC ON, that way it will Always detect the HDMI port.

Manavox tv won't turn on after power outage

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

COMPUTER WON'T WORK WITH NEW HD LCD TV

Sounds like the PC has too high a screen resolution set for the TV to handle
Re-connect PC to PC monitor , change display resolution to 800 x 600 (right click desktop, properties, settings, slider marked "screen resolution" to leftmost side, save settings.
connect PC to TV, TV should be able to display PC data now.
Go through same procedure with PC connected to TV, move slider to 1024 x 768 posn. (depends on TV model as to what it can cope with) - *apply* this setting & see if TV is able to display at this resolution.
If it is, desktop will appear - if not, you'll get the warning box generated by the TV...don't worry, in 15 secs, the PC will revert to the old (working) setting.

Hope this helps.
