Kitchenaid KUDP02 dishwasher won't star

The heat/dry lamp and clean type lamp (standard, fast rinse, heavy etc) come on but nothing else does(cancel, start, cycle). Tried disconnecting the keyboard. With power on and the door shut, i disconnect and reconnected the thermistor twice within 2 seconds. Nothing happened, total silence. Also tried doing a continuity check on the keypad by measuring accross a combination of pins while pressing the corresponding keypad button. The reading went from infinity to several MegOhms. Tried reversing polarity with no success. Any ideas

SOURCE: Clean light flashing 7 times. Can't start the machine

The cleam light blinking means that the unit was not able to reach a proper heated wash cycle. Either your heating element failed orthe actual sump/pump motor system has failed. Check the element in the botton and see if it looks broken anywhere. If you can see a broken spot, you will k now that is the trouble.

Good Luck!

Why is inside of cabinet wet after dry cycle?

Need to use rinse aid for proper drying. If using rinse aid, might have a bad heater. Run it through a cycle, open it half way through the dry cycle and touch the heater with a wet rag. Should sizzle if the heater is good.

There are soapsuds in the bottom of the dishwasher when the cycle is done

This sounds like the dishwasher got the wrong type of soap. It is a real problem to get the wrong soap rinsed out..follow the directions given by the repairman..it may take 5 or 6 cycles... The jet dry is just an extra in this issue...it will be okay when the soap is fully rinsed out.

Electrolux Dishwasher EWD6505GS0B won't heat water?

Hi - If the unit is not drying nor cleaning properly, there are two main things to check first. Is the incoming water temperature at least 120F (49C)? If not, I strongly suggest that the temperature be adjusted on your water heater. Are you using rinse aid? Use a rinse agent to increase drying performance and using Sanitize or Air Dry Off mode also helps improve drying. If any proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately. Unit may have a faulty heating element a communication problem with the board not responding.

Heating element not working

normally on a kitchenaid dishwasher the diagnostics cycle is activated by pressing heated dry - sani rinse - heated dry - sani rinse - heated dry - sani rinse - heated dry and this will energize the heating element but the only way to check is to see if you are geting voltage out of the board or by checking the resistance of the elment should usaly be around 16 ohm's

Flashing clean light and wont start. Is there a sequence of buttons to reset the switchboard?

sani rinse---heated dry---sani rinse---- heated dry.. all the lights on console should light then close the door, let run for 20 -30 secs, and cancel the cycle, if the problem happens again yo need t call a servicer. 1 time maybe a fluke but to happen again indicates a heating, issue somewhere(or a lack of heating)

How to unclog KUDp02 dishwasher

Are you still having problems with your dishwasher? Please post if you are.
To get to the chopper area and to the area you really need to get to, remove the lower spray arm and then one screw the holds down the filter/sump assembly. Look closely for debris and remove.
Check all spray arm whole for blockage.
Rememeber to only use a brand name DW detergent powder (like Electrosol or Cascade), not a generic, ultra-cheap powder or any gel/tablet. You will be amazed how much better it the brand name powder works!
Golld Luck. Please update me with what you find. OK?
