The lint screen is poorly designed and catches and twists the laundry, ripping off ties, straps and twisting sheets and towels. It is ruining my laundry! We have already replaced the lint screen part and it did no good.

It's an inherent problem with this washer due to the designed movement of the agitator. My wife had the same problem. We solved this and the multitude of other problems we had with this washer by going to home depot and buying the cheapest washer they had. Told the rep we wanted a washer with no computer, no special cleaning agitation designs, etc. He said "you want this one". we bought it, they delivered it and we now have cleaner clothes and no twisted sleeves, pant legs, error messages. When they were ready to leave they ask my wife if she wanted to keep the old washer or wanted them to haul it away. Her response was "I never want to see that thing again."
We have the same model and experience the same thing. The way I fix it is to remove the filter, then with a flash light I look down into the lint trap. You will notice that lint has built up in the track where the lint filter sits. I use a wooden skewer to run along the track and lift out the lent. Hope that helps
sound like front felt glide assy # upper felt seal part #134440200 lower felt seal #134134700 u can order these from sears.com
these componets support the front of drum and when felt wears away then clothing slips in gap and when dreyer tumbles clothing gets snagged in gap and tears clothing and leaves black scuffs
hi there......this is usually caused by older dryers which didnt have a reversing tumble facility...or if a lifter is missing from the drum..check that your dryer is or is not a reverse action....and if it is a reverse action that it actually does reverse...you may have a programmer fault if its not reversing
It may be backwards. But the first thing I would look for is if there is lint caught in the shute keeping it from going down all the way. If it is a newer model there is a lint screen sensor that may have come unattached and keeping the lint screen from going down all the way. Good luck.
Try not to wash large items with small items the large items like sheet will twist around the small item. causeing twisting and wrinkling. Also If you are overloading the clothes or underloading the clothes they will come out wrinkled. I would try to do some testing wash a load of only towels then wash a load of only t-shirts and other light weight items that you may have. Then do just a load of your jeans. What happens? Please let me know
Whirlpool has made a few improvements over the past few months regarding motor operation and wash issues.
The RPS (Rotational Position Sensor) connector design has been improved, providing a more reliable connection to eliminate the F51 error code and is available as a service kit.
The electronic control has also been updated for better sensing of the RPS.
If you have experienced problems with certain wash loads getting tangled and knotted and ruined, there is an updated washplate design intended to reduce these issues.
You should contact Whirlpool for possible repair concessions related to these issues. Phone numbers will be in your owners manual.
