Kithcenaid Superba KSRS25QDWH01

I have a Kitchnaid Superba KSRS25QDWH01, and the ice maker is not working properly. The water line in the freezer puts out too much water , causing the ice tray to overflow and spill out into the freezer. Also, the tray, once filled and frozen, does not dump into the bin (ie the rotator does not drop the ice into the bin). Any suggestions. Thanks.

I have a Kithcenaid Superba KSRS25QDWH01 and recently I noticed the ice cubes were hollow and then all of the sudden it stopped making ice. Any suggestions. Thanks.

It makes ice, but the bottom shelf freezes up and the ice sticks together and soon after that stops making ice all together. The slot where the ice is supposed to leave the freezer, is frozen solid- so only water and no ice comes out!!

If you pop the front cover off the ice maker you will find a screw with a plus and minus on it. Adjust it and that will cut the water fill down and should solve the overfill problem. If the ice is not dumping spray the tray with Pam and that should solve the dump problem.

What causes the ice cubes in my ice maker fused

Good day,
If the temperature in the freezer is good and consistent, then it is the dual water valve on the rear of the machine, that is not shutting off properly.
The system turns the water valve on for 7 seconds just before the ice maker parks waiting for the next harvest cycle.
Many times the valve will be too slow in closing or continues to dribble even though no power is being applied to it, thus causing the well of the ice maker to overfill and overflow.
Replacement of the water valve is the only solution and is a very common problem.

Ice maker working sporadically

The ice maker is probably ok. It is most likely the temperature of the freezer. Remove items that block air flow up the back of the freezer. Make sure the door can close securely. You may have water pressure that is too low to fill the ice tray, take time to confirm water pressure to the back of frig. Remove the line and run water into a bucket for several gallons then secure it back to the frig. Make sure the line is tight and does not leak before and AFTER you roll it back into place..

Kitchenaid kscs25fjss01 (2002) front panel not working

Hi

If  The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

No ice

The refrigerator has a duel water valve, one for the ice-maker and one for the water dispenser (if equipped). The valve that the ice-maker relies on may be bad, or it could be the ice-maker itself.
Another thing that could cause it would be the temperatures in the freezer. The ice-maker will not call for water until it reaches under 15 degrees. In addition, check the water tube behind the ice-maker to make sure it is not frozen, blocking more water from entering. The water does not go to the ice-maker or thru the filter unless the ice-maker turns on the water valve.

Ice cube maker

IF NO WATER IN ICE MAKER, CHECK FOR RESTRICTION IN FILL TUBE SUCH AS FROZEN OFF WITH ICE. REMOVE FILL TUBE AND RUN HOT WATER OVER IT TO MELT ICE IN TUBE.
WATCH FOR WATER COMING SLOWLY OUT PLASTIC FILL LINE ATTACHED TO TUBE ON BACK OF REFRIGERATOR.
IF WATER SLOWLY DRIPS OUT OF FILL LINE, REPLACE FILL VALVE( LOCATED WHERE HOUSE WATER LINE ATTACHES TO REFRIGERATOR.

IF ICE MAKER HAS WATER/ICE IN IT, PULL FRONT COVER OFF ICE MAKER TO ACCESS CONTROL HEAD. INSPECT LARGE WHITE GEAR ON FRONT OF CONTROL. IF THE RETAINING TAB IN THE CENTER IS BROKEN, REPLACE MODULE OR ENTIRE ICE MAKER. THERE SHOULD BE TWO
RETAINING TABS HOLDING THE GEAR IN PLACE.

THE FREEZER TEMP NEEDS TO BE A MINIMUM OF 10 DEGREES FOR THE ICE MAKER TO CYCLE. IF THE FREEZER TEMP IS NOT COLD ENOUGH WE WILL NEED TO FIND OUT WHY.
