Hopefully, you have paper in there!! LOL! Some times if the paper is not inserted correctly, the printer won't reqcognise that there is paper there, just pull it out and reinsert it, sometimes you have to do it maore than once.

You will need to calibrate the paper and platen.To do that,you will need to enter technical access and disable disable four fault error by pressing LF and enter button simultaneously until tech access appear on control panel display,then press tof + enter to override four fault.Now you can clear the fault message.,then go to calibration procedures.
you need to create a forms for your specified paper size. 1.open printer and faxes in win xp. 2.file...server properties...create a new form(check) 3.type a name for forms 4.type a size in below boxes...(like 10 x 12 paper , width is 10 inch, height is 12 inch) 5.save it 6.close 7.rht click the printer...device setting tab... select a form name in the tray . 8.it will work
Check paper out switch behind tractor assembly. It may be bent and also make sure that the green bar (if used) is installed carrectly between the tractors.
there are two reason behind the problem . 1 .the problem may come from the logic board.
2.and the platen sensor. change the platen sensor. if not solved change the board.
