HiI have a Dyson DC11 vacuum cleaner. On the wand, there is a yellow clip that fits around the pipe and clips into the unit allowing the user to pick the vacuum cleaner up. My yellow clip has broken. Is there a way to take the wand apart so that I can slide a new clip into place or does it mean a replacement wand or specialist?

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your DC14 - it sounds like this spring may have come out of the clip which secures the Telescope Reach wand in place. Normally the spring will locate behind the clip, keeping the wand locked securely onto the main body of the vacuum until you remove it for above-floor cleaning.
We'd be happy to talk you through replacing the spring - if you have further difficulty in doing this, you would also be able to order a replacement wand if needed.

Sorry to hear of the problem that you are experiencing with your Dyson vacuum cleaner.
If you are having trouble locating the wand handle back inside the hose, it could be that the hose itself is blocked. Remove the wand handle completely from the hose, then un-clip the hose from the base of the machine to check for blockages.
To ensure you are correctly stowing the wand handle, please check your user guide or our website at www.dyson.com and visit the Support section.
i found this part online- search for part # via an exploded parts diagram of your specific unit (via google)
i ordered 5 of them because it always breaks or pops out.
this is a nice machine with crappy parts.
sorry :(
You may have a blockage somewhere. Take the U-Bend (next to the right-hand wheel if you stand behind the vacuum cleaner) off. It is attached to the vacuum with a rectangular-shaped clip - it's purple. It is the pipe that is attached under the long gray hose. After that take out the AI Valve (the pipe above the right-hand side wheel) that has two purple buttons to remove it. Take the wand off and look through it - you should see light coming through the other end even though the wand is not straight all the way. If you can't see light through the other end the blockage is in the wand. Stretch the hose out and make sure there are no dark spots inside - those would be blockages. If all else fails call the Dyson helpline, they'll help you.
