Singing dancing Santa won't stop dancing

I have the 5 foot tall singing dancing Santa made by Pan Asian Creations for K-Mart. When you plug him in he sings and dances normal. Once done he begins to dance very fast and won't stop till you unplug him He has a motion sensor on his base. He plugs in and does not have a battery port the info off his base is 2004 Pan Asian Creations (BVI) Lt Patents (US/UK/China) License Made in China (Figures K-Mart Code 0-717986-11 UPC 2029042489

My neighbor just gave me 1 of these... needed the adapter... 4.5 Volt 800 mA and be sure to get one where you can reverse the polarity if necessary. (polarity is: + ---O---- - ) I had to do some "modifications" to the base as my adapter had an "L" base & wasn't long enough - straight adapter would have been better... Santa wouldn't stop singing/dancing- hmmm. Cleaned the motion sensor lens and then had to cover the modification hole in the base to completely darken the interior of the base. Viola now the motion sensor works... is driving the dog crazy!!

Hello, John -

There seem to be several models of singing and dancing electronic Santa Clauses. Most seem to be manufactured by Gemmy Industries. The various Santas range from about 3.5 inches tall to 6 feet tall, with other heights in between.

I have no idea which kind of singing and dancing Santa you have.

Under Santa's clothes, within the frame for his body, there probably was a small rubberized belt that was designed to get him moving by connecting a gear to the motor. That may have snapped and may need replacing.

I have a singing and dancing 5 foot santa that will sing, but will not dance. There are two wires at the bottom of his leg that are loose, they are not connected to anything or to each other.

that could be the reason its not working you need to find out were the two wires go.
