Thank you for using fixya. The blade cage has locks and screws that you can remove from the back. once the cage has been removed, you can remove the blade attached to the motor using a vacuum cleaner or you can remove the blades by undoing the screw on the center detaching it from the motor.

Model# 14f0 not working

Check your capacitor to see if it's OK. Hampton Bay is just a low-end store brand made from less expensive parts. Remember you get what you pay for. When buying a fan try to get a fan with at least a 13 degree blade pitch.

How can I remove the fan blades from my honeywell table fan? I took the 6 screws out and removed the grill already

First remove the two screws on the back top of fan... then remove little cover on third screw which is located on the bottom of the outer casing.. i used a fork to poke the hole for leverage then pull it out... take out the three screws on the bottom (that hold the stand part of the fan).. now you can start removing the casing.. start to pull apart.. carefully... once you have opened one part you can use a flathead or a butter knife to pry open where there are clips on the sides.. the final clip is under the handle poke that one and your fan should be opened....

HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE FAN BLADES?

there should be just some sort of snaps, or hooks holding the guard on. I have yet to see a fan that doesn't. but if there is any, take the clips off of the guard, and clean the blades.

Cleaning a HOneywell 14F0 fan

Norm I have this fan & have removed those screws.   Look directly above the switch on the back of the fan, let your eye travel up to the extreme outside edge. Such as where you'd find 12 o'clock on a timepiece.   The screws are very small.  About the size of the head of a finishing nail.
Follow the edge around to 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and so on.  Don't blink.
I used a very small philips head screwdriver, the same size as for doing watch or eyeglass repair.  Remember to have a secure place to put the screws, such as a pill bottle, or lid.
And the screws can be difficult to remove, apply a lot of force downward on the screwdriver and turn s-l-o-w-l-y.  Don't strip the head of the screw.
Good luck, Liz/Bizzie Lizzie Atlanta

Removable grilles for easy cleaning?

We just figured this out ourselves. There are four (4) screws on the back of each fan that when undone it releases the grill for cleaning. But the fun part is getting the screws back in to the little holes. But all in all we got it clean...

Honeywell HFD 135 FAN BLADES DIRTY

I used a can of compressed air to clean my fan blades and this did the job. I bought a 6-pack of 3M Dust Remover at Sams Club to save money. Hope this helps.

Cleaning

turn the fan over. on the back you'll see ten holes around the circumference of the cage. use a torx screwdriver of the proper size and remove them. the front part of the cage will come off. the blades are a press fit over the shaft and locating pin. have someone hold the body and pull off the blade.
