Hi there, Been using a replacement ink cartridge (bought from/ supplied by WHSmith) for my printer, was working fine until today, turned on printer and straight away get a "Print Cartridge in right stall not supported" message on printer screen, nothing will print and all buttons (other than the off/ on button) refuse to operate...although everything goes back to normal operations when replacing cartridge with the old (but empty) HP cartridge. Not sure why this is now happening, but need to print some stuff asap - how do I get around this issue?? Thanks in advance for any help! Alun

As a refiller, I've seen this many times. Usually it happens in the multifunction machines. If you put that cartridge in a stand alone printer, it will work good. HP all in ones blow a resistor in the cartridge making it useless to any all in one machine. Sadly, it is time to buy new.

This is a problem with the printer's firmware. I've seen it on there PSC 2350 series. You need to call HP and ask them for a link to the update.

I changed the cartridge and it now works. I resent this though because it had been merrily printing before it decided it would stop and I have had to waste a three quarters full cartridge! I just hope the new one does not go the same way

clean the rubber rollers of the printer and try to print. if it is still having the same problem. reset the printer by unplugging the power cord of the printer while its turn on. then plug the power cord back in. once the printer is on press and hold the power/on button and the size button. when the on button is flashing then release the buttons and try to print again
Try cleaning the paper rollers and the print head.
Use a wet cloth to clean the paper rollers.
Use a little amount of water and some alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol) to clean the print head. (You may not need to do this if your printer cleans it automatically through software utility.
This may be also have caused by the low ink level. Replacing the cartridge should solve this problem.
