First, check to see if you have 240v going to the dryer. If one of the breakers is thrown, the dryer won't start.

ok " the timer has points that act like a switch , they get burt and will not work after a long time
replace time , it's just a plug in unit
SOURCE: Dryer does not start - Thermal Fuse is ok.
My Maytag Electric Dryer stopped working mid cycle and wont turn on at all now. Any ideas?
2 more things could be wrong, check the blower box to see if you have a thermister thermostat on it,check that with your omns meter, the other thing is the motor is no longer strong enough to turn the drum and it heat up and tips off,let me know what you find-mike
SOURCE: control panel looks ok but dryer wont start
Sounds like an electronic problem on the timer circuit board.

thanks for the input breakers ok, start switch has 3 lines 2 same color blue top and bottom 3rd comes off to side, top and side have continuity when pressed the bottom blue wire has no continuity with either in pressed or not press condition
When you turn the timer to start a load, does it run down?
yes
yes
Well, the only thing left is the motor. Check the wire connections and if those are good I would assume the motor is bad. You said the door switch and thermal fuse are good.
Does the motor hum or buzz when you try to start it?
Have you checked the cycling thermostat and the thermal cutoff for continuity as well?
And the high limit thermostat just to cover all the bases.
