When you turn the timer to start a load, does it run down?

Well, the only thing left is the motor. Check the wire connections and if those are good I would assume the motor is bad. You said the door switch and thermal fuse are good.

Does the motor hum or buzz when you try to start it?

Have you checked the cycling thermostat and the thermal cutoff for continuity as well?

And the high limit thermostat just to cover all the bases.

First, check to see if you have 240v going to the dryer. If one of the breakers is thrown, the dryer won't start.

2 more things could be wrong, check the blower box to see if you have a thermister thermostat on it,check that with your omns meter, the other thing is the motor is no longer strong enough to turn the drum and it heat up and tips off,let me know what you find-mike

SOURCE: control panel looks ok but dryer wont start

Sounds like an electronic problem on the timer circuit board.

Dryer will not start after pushing start button. There is a humming sound for 5 seconds or so then stops

If the dryer hums but does not start your start switch is ok.
It could be a blown thermal fuse - which protects the dryer from overheating. It is located on the blower housing or at the dryer's heat source. The fuse can be checked with a multimeter for continuity. Pro Tip: A blown thermal fuse could indicate that you may have a restricted exhaust vent. Check it for blockages.
The door switch engages when you close your dryer's door and you should hear it click. It can be tested with a multimeter also.

I got this info from

Maytag Dryer LDE7500ADL tries to start when start button pushed but stops immediately. Thermal fuses, start button, door switch check OK with ohm meter.

There is a belt that spins the drum and goes over for lack of a better term " Belt tension pulley " kind of like on a serpatine belt on a car. That is what I would look at next

Maytag dryer not making any sound when I push button not coming on

Sounds like it could be a thermal fuse issue (start fuse) or check the door switch and make sure it is making contact when you close the door

Why would my older Maytag Neptune Electric dryer suddenly quit? Interior light comes on when door opened, but when I press start, it shudders but doesn't tumble or start?

if thermal fuse ok you may have a problem with your interface board. Check thermal cut out, door switch and thermal fuse before suspecting board. Obviously need model to give you more accurate info.

Gas Dryer doesn't do anything when I press the Start button

Sounds like a belt to me since there is a trip switch that stops the dryer from turning on if no belt is present.

Matag dryer PYE2300AWY will not start. When the selector button is engaged the machine will not start

Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

Dryer does not start - Thermal Fuse is ok.

Good to know, when the appliance does not start at all is always thermal fuse, wiring, door lock switch, or rarely the control assembly.

Have a nice day.
