If that doesn't work, try running the network connection wizard good luck
go to the control panel and click on it go to internet connections click on it then click on setup new connection it should start up a internet wizard and your icon should be back up on your screen or follow the instructions if your setting up a wireless it will ask you for a code it's on the back of your router enter it and it should connect hope this helps
is your wireless router set to broadcast itself?
you should be able to double-click the small, single computer icon in the lower right corner and have at least one wireless network (yours) to connect to. once you click it to connect, it may require a key sequence, if it is set up for it (passcode).Also, try clicking "Start", right-click "Computer", choose "Properties", "hardware" tab, and "Device Manager". Check to see if your wireless network card has a driver problem (yellow exclamation point". Can you access the network with your netbook connected to the router via a cable? If you can, and have internet access, go to the Acer Support site and download the latest wireless card drivers and install them. see if this helps. Good luck!
