Check the gearbox oil level on the gearbox dip stick if its too low it can cause problems .If the level is ok then check its colour,it should be red if not it will need to be drained and refilled with the correct oil.

It could be the engine control module. Try to get a good used module from the junkyard and try your luck. All the best !!

I have replaced my 1993 318isa module two times myself!! GOOD LUCK!

wet ecu....

read the note below about E36

the ecu compartment is under the windshield on the passenger side on E36

you gain acess to it under the hood....
this compartment gets wet, the ecu lays on a flat surface in that
compartment.

the bottom side of the circuit board gets wet and starts corrosion.

remove the ecu, take the bottom plate off, clean the bottom of the circuit
board with alcohol and a soft tooth brush.

you should be able to see the signs of corrosion or conductive build up.

this gunk bridges solder points doing all sort s of wierd things to your
car, including false sensor readings from asc/abs controllers and other
sensors....

all the way to engine failure and worst case burnt and shorted wiring
harness.

I'm on my 3rd ecu, took me and the repair boys a few years to figure this
one out.

BTW: i would get that ecu mounted above that flat surface, use some sort
of standoff to raise it so that it is not laying in the wet.

2009 Altima won't excelerate after long drive time

You have a CVT in the 2009 Altima so there are no true gears. Any noise you hear could be the belt breaking down or the transmission going belly up. Have you had the fluid changed? If not, I suggest you go to a repair shop and get it done. Nissan CVT are notorious at breaking down and typical cost about 4K USD to repair.

My 1996 honda accord have a problem when driving the transmission seems to slow down and stay in the same speed and won't run more than 25 miles an hour can it be the transmission or the sensor. or...

It wouldn't be a sensor if you can't travel more than 25 MPH. It is transmission problems and you need to get it into a transmission shop ASAP! I do NOT recommend the chain shops like AAMCO because they have a tendency to go for complete rebuilds versus what you need.

Hi I have a 1996 BMW 318is. The car it's self runs great, but the odd time driving down the highway the speedometer and fuel economy gauge will completly cut out and come back on a few miles down the road....

suspect almost dead, board batteries, if you have them in your clocks. Could also be basic like a loose plug on the rear of the clocks themselves

I would say either  transmission control module or the torque converter.
