Battery power on mobility scooter

My mothers shoprider deluxe 4 wheel mobility scooter has lost some of its speed and distance, was told batteries u/s and replaced them [ no joy ] new batteries fully charged goes approx 100m and the power and battery level indicator starts to drop when in motion, stop and the battery level indicator is back up to full. I have checked that the front wheels are free to turn and the magnetic brake is operating as it should.

Do you have a voltmeter? Check the voltage on both batteries 5 minutes after charging but before you use the scooter and post the results here.

The Hand Control has probably bent in from use. ( Where she Pushes the throttle Control )
Grab a hold of it and bend it out towards you slightly
The part about the indicator going down when she moves and back up when she stops is normal

Most scooters show a drop on the battery level meter when in use, as long as it is`nt slowing down it should`nt be a prob. I mean, when you engage the throttle you ARE putting a load on the batteries,so it`s only par for the course that the indicator would drop a bit.

My Battery on my Shoprider Delux is fully charged but lasts only about 45mins is my Battery Knackered?

first of all , this is a common mistake , can you borrow another charger to make sure that is not causing the problem , you need to convince yourself that the charger is okay then lok at the batteries located under the cover located under the seat, make sure the batterys connectors are clean and tight, if all fails sadly it is a batteries replacement.

No power

The scooter has several safety cutouts, Make sure the charger is unplugged, the free-wheel shift is fully in the engaged position. Then turn the key off and back on. Make sure the speed pot is in the middle position.

I have a 4 wheeled shoprider sunrunner scooter. Only 3 lights on led light up batteries are fully charged?

Possible one or both batteries have had there day. How old are the batteries. If they are between 1 and 2 years old they will probably need replacing. it would be adviseable to get the batteries tested and have the charger checked as well. When did it have its last service ?
