My mothers shoprider deluxe 4 wheel mobility scooter has lost some of its speed and distance, was told batteries u/s and replaced them [ no joy ] new batteries fully charged goes approx 100m and the power and battery level indicator starts to drop when in motion, stop and the battery level indicator is back up to full. I have checked that the front wheels are free to turn and the magnetic brake is operating as it should.
The Hand Control has probably bent in from use. ( Where she Pushes the throttle Control )
Grab a hold of it and bend it out towards you slightly
The part about the indicator going down when she moves and back up when she stops is normal
Most scooters show a drop on the battery level meter when in use, as long as it is`nt slowing down it should`nt be a prob. I mean, when you engage the throttle you ARE putting a load on the batteries,so it`s only par for the course that the indicator would drop a bit.

Do you have a voltmeter? Check the voltage on both batteries 5 minutes after charging but before you use the scooter and post the results here.
