There is a known problem with this GE model. Remove the front panel, look at the base plate below the motor. Can you see that it has been rubbing there? On that model the "front apron bracket" fails allowing the motor to rub againist the base. You will need to replace the apron with the new design they have out. Here is the part to order.
You may also check this by removing the front and run a load of wash and watch the motor.
Please post back your finding to me.

Your washer may be doing this because you use far too much detergent or non HE detergent. To solve, use 1 eyedropperfull of liquid HE detergent, or one half teaspoon of powdered HE detergent dissolved in extremely hot water. Try running a Basketclean cycle with vinegar to remove the extra suds which can STILL be lurking in your drums and lengthening your rinsing time.

General electric top load washer model #wpre6100g1wt loud noise

Your problem could be one of 2 things either the base is pushed up in the center or the front apron is bent. The apron is the piece of metal that runs across under the top cover. To remove the front cover to see either use a putty knife to release the catch between the top and the front cover and pull front outward one side at a time.

Early in the wash cycle, my Bosch diswasher makes a chirping soun

yes the problem from the heater.

if the sound coming from boiler heater means
1)scaling on the boiler tank(tank to be cleaned).
2)check any loose connection on the heater wire.

Washing machine rumbles when spinning

it needs to be leveled. most units are self leveling meaning they sit evenly. if yours in on uneven ground make sure you get it onto a flatter spot. should help.

Clacking sound on agitate cycle only, no noise on spin

The agitate cycle uses the motor and a spring to function. The spring is made in pieces and asit gets older some of the sections of the spring break. To verify that it is not a loose drum. Ope the washer during the wash cycle andhold the drun by hand. If the noise stops lool for the loose bolts or replace the springs, they may be weak after that many years.
Good luck!

Something stuck in drum, spinning cycle loud hammering/clacking sound

hi there,

sounds like you may have something caught between the tumbler and the cabinet. since the drum has holes in it, can you have a look if you can see anything that's come of clothing, like a bra wire. it's usually something bigger.
