What is the correct fuel/oil mix for evinrude 4hp ?

I have an older Evinrude 4hp outboard, which is running but seems to get pretty blackened. I'm running it on 25:1 mix (petrol: marine 2-stroke outboard oil) at present.

The proper mix is 50 to 1 or 16 oz to every 6 gallons,in my little boat I put 4 quarts in the 48 gal tank and its been running for 22 years, your running way to rich and your plug is probaly fouled, take it out clean it up/dump your fuel and mix it right, thats a great motor you got,I hunted with it for years,oh yeah when you get started run it till all the smoke is gone or you will have carb problems ,if you dont have them all ready,a little carb cleaner wont hurt but get it running first,or all that trash will foul you out, have a great trip bartriley1

2003 2 stroke evinrude 225 hp outboard will run at high speed about 5-7 min than starts shaking seems like not all cylinders are firing. if i shut off the motor and restart it will run another 5 min.

check the plugs if they wet its getting too much oil in the mix. if dry and black plugs then it could be not enough oil or fuel in mix.

I have an Evinrude 7.5hp outboard motor.Mod# 8RC1A SN# 0178194. What Year of manufd? How to mix fuel & what octane fuel to use & what oil to use? Help me go fishing, thanks.

91 octane rating ( no e-mix fuels ) and proper outboard oil ( not normal engine oil)
outboard oil has a property that allows the oil residue to stick to the metal bits and helps prevent rust
e-mix fuels absorb moisture and and rusts out steel tanks , destroys rubber components and corrodes aluminium components
the model you have is not listed on any 7.5 hp engine from 1950 to 1958
model number starts at 4434 to 7512 to 7525 in 1958
for a better answer , talk with an evinrude service center who should have a chart listing your motor
units with oil injection are 50: 1 ratio and others are 6 gallons to 1 pint of oil which is around 45:1
I would seek advice from an evinrude service center for the correct fuel to oil ratio for your engine
to mix the fuel , put the oil in first then the flow from the bowser will effectively mix it up to start with
then fit the cap on the tank and shake it up yourself

Evinrude outboards

Johnson and Evinrude carbureted 2-stroke outboards since 1964 require a 50:1 fuel to oil mixture (2%) on engines without an automatic oiling system - 6 gallons of gas to 1 pint of outboard oil.

I have a 1985 Evinrude 60hp outboard that i removed the oil injector so as i could run on mixed fuel. At high speeds it is bogging out and seems to be missing badly. Could this be the wrong fuel/oil mix,...

The correct mixture is 50:1, or 1 pint per 6 gallon tank. Use quality brand-name outboard TCW-II or better oil(Bombardier or Mercury eg.) to eliminate the oil as a problem.

Check your plugs for fouling. If using perma-gap / surface-gap type plugs, switch to the L77JC4 type, especially for long idling or slow speed operation. For extended high speed operation, the surface gap plugs are recommended.

It is a 1982 4hp outboard evinrude what is the start sequence

Open the fuel valve ( at the back near the spark plugs).
Pull the choke knob ( SB side at the lower front of the motor)
Set the throttle handle in 'start' position ( abour 1/4 of the travelling way from SB to Port)
Pull the rope starter.
Should start easily.
